How does conflict arise among senior cabin crew?

A cabin crew is a temporary team reassembled on every flight, and seniority is both a source of conflict within it and a mechanism for resolving one. This qualitative study examines conflict between experienced and senior cabin attendants at an airline.

In a team rebuilt every flight, conflict is structural rather than personal.
